Twila Blackgrove

Faith entered the small wobbly hut carefully and looked around. The flooring under her feet creaked and the whole structure swayed just a little when she walked. There were no windows but it wasn't completely dark- small glowing everbright crystals in rusty sconces illuminated the room.

The room was certainly bare. There was a small cot of leather stretched across a wooden frame on each side wall and in front of one of the cots was a small pile of stuff. Clothing, weapons, potions, scrolls and other odds and ends were stacked near the foot board.

"Well, hello there!" said a bright and cheery voice. "I'm Twila Blackgrove, and I'm from House Phiarlan in Stormreach. Who are you? I guess you are my roommate!"

Faith jumped a little as she hadn't seen the slim elf girl sitting on a small stool in the corner until she spoke. She was wearing brown leather armor, had long brown hair and brown eyes and seemed to blend into the wall when she wanted to.

"Yes, I've been assigned to this hut with you. I'm Faith Fayrehold, and I'm from the Breland countryside, " Faith answered.

"Hmnnn, did you travel all that way in your skivvies?" Twila asked, much amused.

Faith blushed.

"My armor is outside. I couldn't get up here wearing it. And I hate it!"

Twila laughed, and the sound of it made Faith laugh too. Twila's laugh was infectious, deeper than her normal voice and bubbling out like it would never stop.

"They really gave us the best location, didn't they? Old Sigmund must be punishing us for something! Let's see if you can wear these robes I picked up on my way out here," Twila offered. "I won't be wearing them and I haven't had time to sell them off yet."

"Oh thank you so much!" said Faith. "You have no idea how much I hate wearing armor. You can have it in exchange for the robes, if you want."

"Nah, keep it and sell it yourself. I don't want to have to carry it any more than you want to be wearing it!" replied Twila. "You get dressed and we'll walk over and see Dax Boon- he'll buy anything. Not for much, but enough to eat for a day or two. So, is this your first time here?"

Faith struggled into the pale colored robes. They didn't really fit but they were so much better than armor that she was grateful.

"Yes, it's pretty much my first time anywhere," She didn't mind admitting how new she was to everything to this friendly elf girl.

"Wow, and you decided to become an adventurer first thing! Good for you," said the elf girl. "Have you even been to Stormreach before?"

"No, I haven't," replied Faith, feeling a little stupid again. "But I'm looking forward to it."

"Straight to Korthos, huh," mused Twila. "Probably not a bad idea. It may be better to not know what you are getting into. Well, let's go take care of your armor before someone swipes it."
